Reviews Artist: SeabirdTitle: 'Til We See the Shore Label: Credential Recordings Push the random button on your cd player and you will not be disappointed. Every song comes across very honest and it proves they are showing everyone you don’t have to be overly popular or good looking to get through life. The influence from Jeff Lynne of the Electric Light Orchestra is very visible in the lyrics, music, and even the album composition. It is refreshing to see a band using the influence of the past and adding its own mark unlike most bands that rehash the old and claim it as if they have invented “a new sound.”. If Rescue is not picked up as the theme song for a television show, I will be very surprised (UPDATE: Since I wrote this review, this song was picked up by ABC for their season two of the show Pushing Up Daises). Every song is not only well written and played, but genuinely catchy and contagious. There is something special in finding a local band to call your own. Seabird is everything a band strives to be on their debut. Amazing! Let Me Go On sums up the best of this album by saying, “Just let me go on/Just give me one more song/If it sucks we all go home/If not, we sing along.” I’m singing along, are you?
