Artist: The Hex Dispensers
Title: The Hex Dispensers
Label: Alien Snatch Records

We are the smokescreen/We are the in-between/Outside of space and time/Outside of frequency/There is a purpose/There is an urgency/We are the Hex Dispensers! That’s right…the Hex Dispensers- this fun little poppy punk group brings you back to the days of the Misfits/Ramones. Direct from Austin, Texas the band consists of: Alex Cuervo (vocals and guitar), Tom Kodiak (guitar), and Alyse Mervosh (drums and backing vocals).

The lyrics resemble the dark humor from that of the Misfits an example being Channel 13 Is Haunted - There is something wrong with my TV set/It happens late at night/After I’ve gone to bed/My TV springs to life/Disembodied noises/Transmission Dead/I found a note on my doorstep/And this is what it read: Channel 13 is Haunted. Other songs include: Are You an Assassin, Evil Eye, Tentacles!, and Arsenic Milkshake... they're sure to leave a raw, uniquely desirable taste in your mouth.

Short catchy little garage songs to sing along to…It’s horror punk! This self-titled album was released on Alien Snatch records and is perking up the ears on many rock-n-roll fans and beer lovers in Beerland, their hometown (no pun intended).

If you are looking for something horrifically fun to groove to, something that, say, resembles the sound of the Misfits, then this is your band.  Give them a shot!
