First Show: Catch 22 and Mustard Plug in BUMFUCK 1 Year ago

My first show was a trip us Jr. High soccer kids(how stereotypical for ska, right) took 45 minutes across the Pennsylvanian wilderness to this old hunting club's cabin where Catch 22, Mustard Plug, No Motiv, and the late great Edna's Goldfish decided to play. The Elk's Lodge in Bedford, PA was appropriately awesome for my first experience and I got to meet and hang out with all the bands while they decidedly got trashed and barbequed after their respective sets. The drummer from Catch 22 served me up a hotdog and floated beer in front of me, which he had no intention of giving this, at the time, 14 year old. I also saw a girl in a mini-skirt get fingered while body surfing, but that's a whole different story right there.
Despite, said finger-banging, it was a magical experience for me. Springtime, in the middle of nowhere, listening to some of the best ska groups out there at the time.

That's ridiculous that you were there, since there were only about 40 kids top in the whole US of A at that thing. Damn, what a small world.
I'll tell you what- I don't have pictures from that day on hand (i know some buddies do), but I still got that crazy Catch 22 T-shirt where its black with white inking, and a big mouth is trying to swallow something all splintery-like. To this day, I still don't know what the hell is being eaten.
I have to know what school district you are from. If your from Altoona or Tyrone or Hollidaysburg, there is a chance I might actually know you. As you know, I'm Damon Peoples and I went to Hollidaysburg.
