Reviews Artist: W.A.S.P.Title: The Sting: Live at th Key Club Label: Seventh Art Compared to the many music videos I've seen and reviewed, I judged this one below average. Maybe because the stage was small, or because of restrictions related to a video web feed, the band moved around less than any I've seen live or on video. Blackie's trademark motorcycle handles on a big spring microphone with its glow in the dark mask was the only stage prop, other than a plain version of the band name below the drummer. There are a few special effects during the last 3 out of the total of 12 songs, but other than that, everyone stayed in front of a microphone the majority of the time. Some of the songs include "Helldorado," "Chainsaw Charlie," "Wild Child" and "L.O.V.E. Machine." Toward the end of "The Real Me," Blackie climbed on the spring-loaded mic stand and really gets it going, then sets off a spray of sparks from his boots. At the end of "I Wanne Be Somebody" he picks up two VERY fake looking skulls and proceeds to pour fake blood out of them into his mouth and down the front of him. Not even that was very interesting. At the beginning of the encore/final song, fire surrounded the W.A.S.P. name in front of the drummer for about 30 seconds and that was the extent of any type of "show stunts." This one is strictly for die-hard W.A.S.P. fans. If you want to see a really good hard rock/metal concert video, try Iron Maiden or Metallica or Alice Cooper or one of the numerous others that put on a REAL stage show!
