Donna Lewis, I love you. Always. Forever. Thank God, you have finally released another album!

After an unbearably long hiatus from the music industry, pop-sensation, Donna Lewis, has finally released her first studio album in over a decade. This album, In the Pink, features many similar qualities as her first album, Now in a Minute, which was released in 1996. Her voice has the same ethereal and sensual qualities and has only matured into a more heavenly and soothing sound. The sound of this album is almost as heaven sent as it has more of a fresh and contemporary groove than her 90’s release, which featured her biggest single, I Love You Always Forever – a chart topping hit that broke records in the music industry.

This album features eleven new tracks with lyrics similar to those in I Love You Always Forever. A true romantic, Lewis describes the qualities of love, of falling love, and of Obsession. In this track, she compares the one that she loves to a god in heaven with the lyrics, “You think you’re beautiful/and god is in your soul/you’re really something…you want to save the world/save it, save it/ save it only on a Sunday.” She makes incredible comparisons of love and heaven with her well-shaped words and her angelic voice. She preaches that love is necessary no matter what in one final track, 1000 Miles. She sings, “Underneath it all/ I know you’re love starved/ a secret locked in your heart…your heart is in my heart/ every single day/ a thousand miles away/ Living inside me always/ you need a clear way.”

As with her first pop-chart hit, Lewis preaches that love is the answer to life and death: I Love You. Always. Forever. She doesn’t need to say much more than that. It is evident in her voice. I Love You. Always. Forever. That doesn’t change…and that simple message is again resounding on her latest album, In The Pink, which will likely bring her the same fame and fortune that I Love You Always Forever simply rained over her only ten years before this new release.
