Reviews Artist: Another Day LateTitle: News Said It's Raining In New York Label: Doghouse Records News Said It’s Raining In New York opens with a bang with the song Play On, which is my personal favorite. It is an up-tempo radio ready song that sets the tone and energy perfectly for the rest of the CD. Fear is a Man is a spiffy song; it starts as a heavy-slow song then builds and matches the liveliness of the other songs. Scenes from an Airport Bar opens with dueling guitars that jumps into a heavy up-tempo song, and then it slows down in the middle and maintains a mellower feeling than the beginning. The transition between the two tempos was smooth and I could tell that I was still listening to the same song. The guitar riffs were solid in this song, as they were in the rest of the album. The last song, Easy Alone, is an interesting song. It blends energetic tempos with calming beats harmoniously and leaves you anxiously waiting to hear more from this band. The band released their first CD, Ambers and Embers, in July 2006. Another Day Late was originally based in New York, but in November 2006 the band moved to California where they continued to build their popularity. The band’s latest album, News Said It’s Raining In New York, is an amazing CD from a talented group.
