Reviews Artist: Arrested DevelopmentTitle: Since the Last Time Label: Vagabond Productions However, Arrested Development’s style has been a very unique contribution. A message of hope and inspiration rather than the gangster, gun toting, mainstream style that seems to be a popular play today. “Historically there is BC and AD and musically it’s about the AD and Arrested Development wants to take you to another place” as quoted on a bio about the band. Arrested Development has already won two Grammy awards -- one for best new artist and one for best rap single. With the fame came fortune, but instead of becoming jaded 'stars', these folks gave one step back, becoming the first black artists to donate to Nelson Mandela and the ANC. Also in their day, Arrested Development provided the music for Spike Lee’s motion picture, X. Arrested Development finally introduces their latest album, Since the Last Time, which is “a mixture of an easy going, but a lively group of songs meant to stir up belief and thirst. Life Music takes people to a higher level through music.” Stand a track taken off of their new release sums up the vibe on the album: “People don’t change cuz of words alone; Yet a nation can be moved by one person who’s strong; And truth can be buried for moments of time; But like the last day buried things are bound to rise.” Just a taste of the twelve tracks of wisdom that you can find on the album. Although the Since the Last Time speaks to some, it doesn’t impact me all that much. I’ll continue to look for something new. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
