Reviews Artist: Jazzanova & Dirk Rumpff/VariousTitle: Broadcasting From Offtrack Radio Label: Sonar Kollektiv While I am not a fan of most of the music on this compilation, one thing that I cannot deny is the fact that it is well put together and that there are a few gems on here. The music offered up is definitely not for everyone, but if you liked the first disc, then you’ll like this, as it is much of the same. One of the unique parts of this album is that you can’t find most of these songs anywhere else. They are mostly exclusive to this disc, and that may help the popularity a bit. The Jazzanova compilation brings together may diverse artists, from Bev Lee Harling to Slope to Fat Freddy’s Drop. The compilation factor works because none of the music is boring and it doesn’t all sound the same. Two of the gems offered up are Bev Lee Harling’s Life Won’t Wait, a song in which the vocals blew me away, and Del Fuego from Fat Freddy’s Drop, a song that reminds me of a jazzy version of a John Mayer song. The rating is a result of the fact that this comp won’t interest people that aren’t already interested. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item. Add new review Powered by jReviews |
