Reviews Artist: Danan HealyTitle: Christmas Time Rocks Label: Self Released Danan Healy takes a humorous yet relaxed approach to Christmas time this year. Her holiday album, Christmas Time Rocks, is her self-released holiday album which is a cute and funny gift idea in which everyone can relate to the lyrics. In the first, self-titled song, Healy replays memories that most can remember during the holidays, such as drunken family members at dinner, and the awful times spent at the airport. Healy writes a few other original Christmas time melodies, ones which range to humorous as Christmas Time Rocks, to more serious Christmas tales, such as her own version of Oh Holy Night. Traditional Christmas songs are covered, such as the aforementioned Oh Holy Night, and I’ll be Home for Christmas quite well. Healy is a talented vocalist, and I found her cover of Oh Holy Night to be particularly impressive. She has a very large vocal range, which can be heard through all different type of melodies on this album. But what I like most about this artist was her confidence not only in singing on each track, but her confidence to put her own unique spin on the holiday season. Christmas Time Rocks is great gift idea for the next, and years to come holiday seasons, or a nice album to pull out each year for yourself. I hope to hear more original work from Danan Healy in the future. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item. Add new review Powered by jReviews |
