Reviews Artist: SoldiersTitle: End of Days Label: Trustkill Records There are a million hardcore metal bands out there, but it is very difficult to find the good ones. Luckily, I have found one of the better young bands out there. Now a member of the up and coming Trustkill Records label, Soldiers is a band to look out for in the very near future. The band, a who’s who compilation of members from the New York City hardcore scene, makes their much anticipated debut with End of Days. The album starts out and remains very intense, and it is not for the weak of heart. The music is very raw and rough at times, but even so, this band has a lot of room to grow. They have been playing together for less than two years, but they are in sync and the music is consistently good. There are a million political opinions out there, and Soldiers is not afraid to scream about theirs. They combine musical knowledge with social knowledge to create interesting music, interesting sound and an interesting message. To those who know about the hardcore scene, front man and vocalist Rick Jimenez is one of the best young minds in music out there. Soldiers may have its share of doubters because they are young and youth generally means there's not much in the way of purpose or message, but that's not true at all in this case. Nothing More, Nothing Less is the best song on the disc, and it could end up being a hit if they ever make it big. Sever Ties and Relentless are two other songs that show how much potential Soldiers has. As I said previously I like their sound and I think they could be big, and they still have a lot of room to grow. They aren’t totally together at various points throughout End of Days, but that kind of instant and constant sync will come with time. The 7 out of 10 is perfect for where they are right now. As for a recommendation, I have to point out that End of Days is not for casual fans. To truly enjoy this record, you must have a respect for the genre. Without that, there is a pretty good chance that you just won't get it and will reject the disc as useless garbage. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
