Warren G. was the architect behind one or the truly best hip-hop jams of the 90's "Regulate," but really has not found too much success since. His last release, 1997's, Take A Look Over Your Shoulder, Failed to garner a hit like "Regulate," so that may be the reason why Warren decided to include the melody of the song on several of the tunes on his new, The Return of the Regulator.
Warren, the half-brother, Dr. Dre, seems to have a couple of things in common with Dre: On the down side, they both seem to lack originality in naming their CD's (Dre's follow up to his classic CD The Chronic, was titled, The Chronic 2000!). But they also both have an uncommon skill in the area of production.

Warren may have a new hit or two on his hand with the hot "Something to Bounce To" and the reunion of his first band, 213, (which is Warren with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg) on "Yo' Sassy Ways."

A good effort, but still not strong enough to break away from his half-sibling's shadow.
