Title: Waiting For You...
Label: ACR

Alex Clements’ Waiting for you… is an excellent example of today’s smooth jazz. His music speaks through the quick tones of the saxophone, a soft and light drum beat, and pleasant chords of the piano. The album debuts with a more upbeat melody, Blues for GB, which is a rather fun track, and extremely catchy. The album then progresses into a much more calm, jazzy feel. Waiting for you… ultimately leaves you wishing you were in some dark piano bar with lit cigarette between your fingers. I found track four, Old Balsam particualry moving. The keys of the piano flow so well, leaving you feeling very cool and comfortable.

Clements, originally from Alberta Canada, has performed at concerts and festivals all over the world, including the prestigious Montreal International and Kissimmee Jazz festivals.  He holds a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from McGill University and has several film scores to his credit along with two other albums: "Emily's Song" and "The Cycle of Life."

With regard to Waiting For You... however, overall I find the album incredibly relaxing, and Clements is a very well balanced musician. You don’t have to be a jazz enthusiast to find something moving in Waiting for you…
