"What's in a name? Well, it depends on who came up with it. In the case of Middleburg, Florida quintet The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, it might mean anything.

Jumpsuits can be sleek and fashionable, tight and revealing. Or they can be loose and homogeneous, suggesting redundancy and confinement befitting a jailbird. Red is often flashy and easily noticeable, but it's also the color of blood. And an apparatus allows a jumpsuit to be used for a specific purpose, such as leaping from an airplane - or it could be something sexual. After all, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are ballsy and emotional, pulsing with vibrancy and tenacity. They're strong, yet vulnerable, and they shift between musical styles with the confidence of superstars. Strange then when I tell you The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus means absolutely nothing. Live the band is very emotional, impacting, and deeply felt. In a previous interview the band was asked why would anyone want to check out their music and what sets their material apart from the stuff that is already out? They responded with, "Because we mean what we say." Every song they've written is a song about their personal life or somebody they know.

If you like songs that are real and that you can relate to and music that makes sense to the average listener, then you should give Ronnie and the boys a shot. As Puddle of Mudd's frontman Wesley Scantlin once wrote, "It's about passion and writing music that connects with other people and somehow heals them." This is probably why their hit song False Pretences went off and why the crowd went crazy for the band. This song in particular hit home for me and probably resonated with everyone at the tour. But in particular to all the liars, backstabbers, or people that claim to be your friends and then prove themselves false. Ronnie screams into the mic:

"(Oh, it's time to let it go)/The world's got a funny way of turning round on you/When a friend tries to stab you right in the face/Losing faith in everything I thought I hoped and knew/Don't sweat it, it was set on false pretense."
