I don't wanna live
to be fifty-seven
I'm living in hell
is there a heaven?

Live fast, die young!

Live fast, die young! Taken from the band Circle Jerks but carries a lot of significance for the type of crowd and people you draw at a Pennywise event. The music is fast, angry, and you better get out of its way before you get hurt. But not in a thrash metal sort of way - punk carries more meaning, a questioning of values and rules, a societal backlash of all that has evolved.

When Pennywise hit the stage- the crowd was ready for them. The band features: Jim Lindberg (vocals), Fletcher Dragge (guitars), Randy Bradberry (bass), and Byron McMackin (drums). One of their very first songs was “Rules”. Jim Lindberg screams into the mic:

"I've come to realize that life is but a game/and it doesn't matter how you score but how you play/and although the masses play the host make all the rules/the only rules you should live by/rules made up by you, the only rules you should live by."

A mosh pit quickly breaks out at every Pennywise event and this show was no different. Part of the excitement of watching this type of event is the crowd. It’s kind of like a huge mass of people and then when one popular song starts - the place turns into a raging tumultuous riot. It is a show that honors individuality and the road less traveled.

"...Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."   -  Robert Frost
