Reviews Artist: Slightly StoopidTitle: Slightly Not Stoned Enough to Eat Breakfast Label: Stoopid Records The album starts with a cover of UB40’s I Would Do For You and varies throughout with new songs like Cocaine and Supernatural and conjures up new refreshing versions of fan favorites such as False Rhythms. They keep very true to themselves singing about hitting a joint or trying to find the perfect woman. There is enough new material here for all fans of Slightly Stoopid to warrant a new purchase and if you have never heard any of the bands previous material, the sounds of this album make for a perfect introduction. Slightly Stoopid have grown from their early high school days and now eschew major labels in order to release music they want to make. The absence of label pressure is apparent as they feel very comfortable taking something old and making it new again. When I go to the beach this summer, this album is for the whole drive there and back.
