Reviews Artist: Seventh StarTitle: The Undisputed Truth Label: Facedown Records Before you begin reading this, let me warn you that if you’re currently not wearing a New Era hat, basketball jersey, gym shorts and/or brass knuckles, you probably won’t like this album, don’t waste your time reading this review. Go read the Against Me! review instead. Now, for you hardcore kids who have made it this far, you will be very pleased with this album. It has everything a prototypical hardcore album needs, gang vocals (a hardcore record without gang vocals is like a Zeppelin record without guitar solos, it just doesn’t exist), breakdowns, and a song warning the world of the impending dangers of World War Three. The Undisputed Truth opens with a self-titled track which doesn’t say much more than "the undisputed truth", much like "The Seventh Star" off of their 2005 release, Brood Of Vipers, which talks about the seventh star. (I guess they must have run out of ideas when they were writing that one.) This might not be the most informative review you’ll ever read, but it’s extremely fitting for the album. The Undisputed Truth is extremely fitting for hardcore kids, and hardcore kids are extremely fit for...dancing. It all really comes down to whether or not you like hardcore music, which is why I gave it a rating of 5/10. I give it a 0 to people who don’t like hardcore music, and I give it a 10 to kids who like breakdowns that come at you like a cement truck, and bastardized riffs that (apparently) never get old. I just really hope the singer of Seventh Star doesn’t read this...he’s a big dude. For Fans Of: Blood For Blood, Throwdown Repeat Track: World War Three (it’s the funniest) Skip Track: The Undisputed Truth (the album, not the song) User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
