Reviews Artist: Drowning PoolTitle: Full Circle Label: Eleven Seven Music Rolling Stone quote’s “On the standout ‘Bodies’…William’s screams ‘Let The Bodies Hit The Floor!’…Another rallying cry for alienated nu-metal fans this summer.” Metal Edge quote’s “In a market flooded with cheap imitations, it’s nice to know that there’s still room for the real deal. Consider yourself warned: Once the bodies hit the floor, the floodgates will be opened. Drowning Pool is here to stay.” Billboard quote’s “After one listen to Drowning Pool’s provocative debut, it’s clear that the band is a no-miss for stardom.” Music-reviewer quote’s that, “Along with their two previous releases, Full Circle is another album on their hit list far from drowning in any sort of pool of accolades or public attention.” Another reason that this release is the focus of public attention is that the band has attempted to support the American troops overseas on several USO tours of Baghdad and Kuwait- and has been making significant efforts to support the veterans of the Iraq/Afghanistan wars. In addition to writing and recording Soldiers, Drowning Pool has dedicated much of its Myspace page -- which has been viewed more than 3,500,000 times -- to creating awareness and support for our troops and veterans. They’ve also launched an online petition that has received more than 2,500 signatures since May 20, and sent letters to members of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committes. “One world, made better, in slaight, hard bitter, there is no compromise, your bringing forth your sacrifice- This is for the soldiers.” If you were not already familiar with the band it consists of Ryan McCombs on lead vocals, C.J. Pierce: on Guitar/vocals, Steven Benton on bass/vocals, and Mike Luce on Drums/vocals. “For Texas modern rockers Drowning Pool, Full Circle, their third album, and first for Eleven Seven Music/ADA, represents a chance to continue to build on their successes- “You think it’s over/Well I’ve come too far /To back down now”- “Full Circle” Eleven Seven Music Highlights of the album are track one, Full Circle, track two Enemy, track six Soldiers, and track eight Upside Down (my personal favorite). If you are a die hard Drowning Pool fan and have invested in Desensitized and Sinner, then Full Circle is another album that you won't want to miss! User reviews
