Reviews Artist: Djizoes:Title: In the Papers Label: Outbreak Records Warm up your CD players or get those Ipods ready folks. If metal music is your thing, then Djizoes: (Pronounced “Jesus” and yes the colon is part of the name…) should be added to your list. Formed in 2002 in wonderful Geneva, Djizoes: has managed to get immediate attention for their unconventional sound. Since forming, Djizoes: has had the opportunity to participate in important concerts and festivals, sharing the stage with world-renowned artists, from various stylistic and cultural backgrounds. On stage, Djizoes: has always seduced the audience, with their sincere and powerful musical heart. Now Djizoes: has come out with their latest album, “In the Papers.” There are some serious metal chops here, folks. Djizoes: isn’t your average hardcore band. While the rest of the hardcore wannabe’s play as fast and scream as loud as they can, Djizoes: rocks melodic and catchy riffs in the manner of nu-metal legends the Deftones, or Meshuggah. Dje creates the vocals and guitar for the band, Vinch handles the band’s incredible variation of rhythm, Ales takes care of the pounding bass, and Iv handles the lead guitar with ease. Their rhythms bounce off the walls, their musical arrangements execute like clockwork, their devotion to the music and their excellent stage presence creates a nice balance from which the group has seriously benefited. “In the Papers” is one of their first full-length releases and I hope there will be many more. This is the kind of stuff I just love! The album opens with the moving track “Ride The Flames,” which gives a mouth-watering preview of what’s coming next. By far my favorite song has to be “Rising a Nation.” The track wonderfully displays the band’s musical talent and skill. The musical echoes of this disc are very promising, and I can see already see new horizons opening for the band. To put it simply, Djizoes: has some serious talent that deserves to be heard. You’ll be captured by their rock which straight forward, pure, and true. I know I’ve been captured. So come on! Start listening already! User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
