Reviews Artist: BenzinoTitle: Redemption Label: Elektra Records I'll admit that he has one or two good songs but that's about it, one or two. I realize that the pressure of going solo is a lot more overwhelming that it is when you're in a group and it's a lot harder for you to regain the same fan base that you had before (If you had a fan base before) But when you go solo this your chance to prove yourself and show that you're able to make on your own. Why even bother to come out if you're going to blow it. Let's start with the infamous "Rock The Party". I'll admit that when I first heard this song I almost went crazy over the beat. It lures you in with the thumping base and bouncing rhythm, then once you're just about to admit that you're into the song…it starts. Some of the worst rapping that you'll ever bear witness to. But I can't deny that I like the song. After all, with a beat like that and such a catchy hook, it's one of those songs that you love to hate. Next up is "Would You". Would you listen to this song twice? Hell No! You couldn't pay me to listen to again. It's all well and good to enlist help from your friends but when they suck worse than you do, it's a good chance that the two of you should just stick to talking. Lisa Raye never found the beat on this song, she just rapped all around it. She left me confused, dizzy, and upset all in one. All in all, if you were a fan of Benzino's before, then you'll still like him now. Not much has changed in his lyrical delivery and unfortunately, I don't think anything will. The beats make this album what it is and that's kind of sad but the album isn't that much. It's definitely not something that I would recommend. If you use your head as well as your ears when listening to music you'll know exactly what I'm saying. I give him credit or trying and for making the hit, "Rock The Party" but other than that, Benzino, don't quit your day job. User reviews There are no user reviews for this item.
