Well, it's that time of the year again! "Tis the season for giving," and music adds to the spirit of Christmas, so take a listen to the new "Babyface" CD entitled "Christmas With Babyface." This is a collection some of his Christmas favorites. "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" receives the "Babyface" touch, making this funky adaptation an immediate favorite.

From the funky "Rudolph...," to the Jazzy approach to "Winter Wonderland," and the reggae vibe of "Little Drummer Boy," it's obvious "Babyface" has put his own "shine" on these Christmas classics. While "Sleigh Ride" maintains a somewhat traditional sound, he again adds his recognizable style. The production credits are shared between "Babyface" and "Walter Afanasieff." "Babyface" chose some of the best studio musicians available for his version of the Christmas songs, including the fluid stylings of Greg Phillinganes on Acoustic piano. With the golden voice of "Babyface," and excellent musical arrangements, "Christmas With Babyface" could put even Scrooge in the giving mood. The CD also includes the track, "You Were There," written and produced by "Babyface" for the motion picture "Simon Birch." If there has to be a low point, it would be the brevity (10 songs).
