"A Search For Reason" sees "Kilgore" in their most collaborative light, as the musical approach still retains the blue-collar persona of their first, but now utilizes more individual band-member contributions. The result of the involvement of a new bassist and guitarist, both in turn, add up to a much more musically adventurous and sophisticatedly tasteful 2nd effort.

The band, whose prior attributes have included being both intellectually stimulating songwriters, as well as serious-minded rock portrayers, has undergone another noteworthy change with the passage of this latest record - their name. Formerly known as "Kilgore Smudge" has been trimmed down to the more emphatically concise "Kilgore."

A solid record through and through, "A Search for Reason" steamrolls over passing trends with its many highlights including "Avowel," "Prayers for the Dying" and "TK 421" featuring a guest spot from Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory!
