Back with their followup to "Resident Double U," the band's first Time Bomb release, "Map Of The Sky," is said to be inspired by the cosmos, so throughout the record are references to the sky and space and the like. And so I submit a theory. Though a star might be big and bright and beautiful, among the pallet of the sky, it is simply generic, falling into place with all the other stars. The same holds true for "Crumbox."

Shining out with perky pop melodies and perfect pop bass lines, "Crumbox" is little more then just another pop band. While the song structure is there, the music and lyrics fall short on the originality scale. Though this band is obviously talented, and almost likable, they simply lie flat and fail to grab the attention of the listener.

Tracks like "Drown," "Crush The Star" and "The Sign" could be good songs, they just lack that little bit more that makes the difference between catchy and irritating. While "Map Of The Sky" may not be the record to put at the top of that wish list, "Crumbox" remains a band who, after some more development, might be one to watch for.
