I've always dug that "Rockabilly" sort of stuff. It kinda makes me wish I was born in the 30's or 40's, so that I could fashion the rebellious image by the time Rock 'n Roll arrived during the 50's and sport the cool leather jacket and jeans look with my hair brushed back, cigarette hangin' off my lip and ready myself for the weekend with my '57 Chevy. Since I've long since made the determination that I can't do that, at least not in an authenticated sense, the next best thing is to throw on something like the "Deluxetone Rocket's" latest release and rock and jive till I can't stand up!

This is a way cool slab of good-time fifties Rock, forties Swing and piss in the wind indifference toward societal conformation, that's as close as anyone will strive toward those memories of yesterday. Although I don't have any, I can fabricate some in my mind when I'm in the mood. What makes the 'Rockets better than most I've heard is they don't lean one way or another in any direction, but rather let the two previously mentioned styles adjoin cohesively to keep it exciting instead of growing monotonous four songs in! They then package it up in an extra layer of attitude, without hesitating to increase the volume, as if to prod the oldsters for admonishing them when they were kids!

Rev it up and let's rock & roll man!
