Crank it up and stand back! This "Engine's" revved up and ready. Featuring an all-star lineup of infamously respected musicians headed by Fates Warning singer Ray Alder and current Armored Saint axeman Joey Vera, this self-titled debut and offshoot project takes on a life of it's own - quickly!

If high-volume, riff-ravaged, pure rock and roll's what you're after, then sit back and enjoy. But, forget what you've already heard in the past. This foray into their own musical territory is nothing short of bombastic. It's not dissimilar, but it is uniquely different than what Prog/Metal fans have grown used to.

"Engine," distinctly heavier by design, fires one groove into another on fearsome tracks like "Monster," "Alone" and "Taste." Traces of recognition rise to the surface on the odd occasion, or fall from the sky as on "Falling Star," but one really has to listen hard to draw any past comparisons.

Alder does a complete 360 for most of this recording. He reaches a darker intensity while putting his usual siren on mute for the time being. Add to this the playing and street-wise production of Vera, Bernie Versailles on guitar, and Pete Parada kickin' out the beats, and we've got the making of some serious competition in the current heavy music market!
