A decade after their first rehearsals and releasing several formative demos, these brutal Swedes finally unload a debut full-lengthier- one that's slowly becoming acknowledged as a major effort among the Scandi-death practitioners. And not only for its brutality quotient, but for a distinct sound separated by thousands of miles. Instead of lurking in the murk of Gothenburg-brand groups or heady doomers like In Flames, Throneaeon are a throwback to an era of Florida's original annihilation- a sound akin to defining acts like Deicide, Morbid Angel and Death, where the torrent of chugging guitars, pneumatic kickdrums and grisly, dismembered vocals were the sonic pleasures of Belzebub hisself.

Like death metal's initial spew, Throneaeon's self-produced work is extreme in substance: violent, complex, repetitive, with a hint of self-loathing that even Deicide’s Glen Benton might find touching. Ride the knife's edge.
