Going against the grain… or against the current might be a better analogy for this politely-done new recording by the youthful and gifted Charlotte Church. Anything but your average teenage Pop sensation, she appears almost as if from another time, another place and immediately throws expectations with a graceful beauty and siren-like voice, seemingly worlds apart from anyone named Christina or Britney.

"Enchantment," Charlotte's third record and every bit of that, features  dignified and diverse compositions bred from styles of Classical to Celtic to New Age.  Orchestrated, operatic and often undaunted, the music, captivating and clever, will extend as far into the distance as the mind's eye is willing to wander.  Upon completion, you'll be transformed to a new sense of awareness and likely a better appreciation for music and the ability of a beautiful voice.

This Welsh singing sensation, all of fifteen and already a world renowned million-selling performer mesmerizes, soothes, and charms with a capability usually reserved for the ranks of a Celine or Enya. Add to that the poise of Barbara, and you'll be further awed to the idea that Miss Church is still only getting started while an entire world of adolescence and adulthood awaits in the distance to continue to supply the idiomatic well-spring that's already begun its impressive free flow. Drift away to another place of peace, elegance… enchantment.
