Has it been nearly six years since Lee Ving's last deposit? Frankly, the thought that one of rock's classic voices (go on, admit it, dammit) is sportin' around with a band half his age sounds kinda like Steppenwolf to me. But damn if this disc didn't often rip along with the finest rugged caterwauling of his misspent youth. Although the suds theme really ran its course quick ("Beer30," "Beerheads," "The Bud Club")- and especially since the last Ving fling was Have Another Beer with Fear. "Hard 'Cotto' Salami" was a furious-tho-obvious re- write of Fear’s classic "Beef Bologna" that was a worthy retread for you non-vegans. And while the crunch- heavy "33rd & 3rd" here sounds more than just 20 blocks uptown from the Ramones' hallowed stomping grounds, Ving still sounds ready to piss on your leg.
