Thanks guys, for making me remember why I
wanted to front my own rock band in the first place! Giving new
meaning to the term "adult-oriented rock," Matt Zane,
leader and shameless porn director for the enterprise known as
both "Society One" and "Sexual Society,"
Inzane Records namesake will be one to watch. The new album entitled,
"Slacker Jesus," message intended, combines backstage
exploits with state of the art modern, electro-heavy rock. "Society
One" exudes a true to life experience of backstage antics
put to music, influenced by the likes of bands like Korn, while
increasing the flood of intensity. A highly electric vibe sends
tracks such as "Get My Back" and "Slacker Jesus"
into a furiously convulsing frenzy. "Wretched" is among
the best work here, although they should've stuck with more of
the direction of its chorus and focused more on a heavy groove
and less on the tenuous bass-lines that too many bands have adopted.
How they landed a tour with Pro-pain I'll never know, but "Society
One's" going to be one of those acts that'll be re-stirring
the brew of controversy. In an industry that not since the exploits
of Marilyn Manson will the finger pointers achieve such satisfaction. |
