"Custom Made Scare" joins the rank and file of so many before them with the release of "The Greatest Show On Dirt" - that is to say file this under tedious, boring, generic, pop punk. It's albums like this one that really make me wonder if there is an original idea under the sun any more.

Personally, I found the vocals grating, the guitar work mundane, the bass and rhythm work stoic, and the the overall song structure plain and boring. "Custom Made Scare" proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that not just anyone can play punk music, and perhaps it might better to be really bad at playing punk, than being just mediocre.

No particular track stands out as worth a listen. I guess if you tied me down and force fed me kibble until I picked a favorite track, I would say "White Trash Girl" has it's moments. But when it comes down to it, take a pass on this one. There are much more important discs to buy. (I would go with Weird Al Yankavic before this one.)
