"Woop Woop" to "Snoop Dogg" and "The Eastsidaz." "Snoop Dog Presents The Eastsidaz" is hot off the TVT record label. Traditional gangsta' rappers will stand up and give the "west up" sign for this one.

I have to say that I have not been impressed with Snoop's more recent presentations. He just wasn't coming with the tight beats and hard rap I'm used to. This CD brings Snoop back to his roots with that hard gangsta feel.

The Eastsidaz consist of Tray Deee and Goldie Loc. These brothers are definitely around the way boys. The boys brought it hard and real. Other guest include; Dr. Dre, Sylk E. Fine, Jayo Felony, Tha Locs, Rapp'n 4 Tay, Bad Azz, Nate Dogg, Xzibit, Kurupt, Warren G, Suga Free and many more. I have observed that you can't make a rap song without someone else. Collaborations can be a good thing, but I sometimes feel that so many people on a rap CD is overkill. It's like a joint, you light it up, and everyone wants a hit off of it.

The tracks on this project are definitely on hit. This is definitely not your run of the mill rap CD. The tracks are diverse, very well produced and professional. There is a track for everyone, from hard, hot and heavy to smooth and laid back. My favorite songs on this 22 song CD are "Got Beef," "Real Talk," "G'd Up," "Be Thankful," and "Take It Back To '85." They are very different, varying from hard core gangsta rap to laid back grooves, but they are all good. I have to say I really enjoyed this CD from Snoop and happy to hear he is back on track and bangin' out the hits.
