Mercy, this one will leave a buzzing in
your ears for hours on end! The debut of doom-driven "Sally"
possesses enough low-end hump to peel the paint off your porch.
Now, anyone who knows The Music Cartel
label is probably not expecting to be surprised by much of what
they hear. The artists are known for their retro-rock vibe, driving
home all those classic elements first introduced by the likes
of Sabbath, so the key is what will they do with it once they've
adopted it?
"Sally" is not just another rank
and file savior of the stone-age era, yet they're not a breed
apart either. Now, if all the world is in fact a stage, this
fulsome foursome would be found somewhere beneath it, pleased
to shake the surface and later stand by basking in their own
indifference as the foundations give way. The bare bones approach
has worked well up to now and certainly in the loudness department,
excess is an assured virtue.
Let the thunder roll over sonic mountain
and all you Kentucky Fried Motherfuckers will soon bear witness
to the ongoing revolution that continues to unearth the sleeping
dogs of yesteryear, who until now never seemed to receive their
just due! |
