This is some strange stuff people. Style jumping from ska and funk influences to almost Mr. Bungle-esque workings of cut-n-paste structures of slapped together sections to form a canvas of ideas thrown at the listener whether they are ready to catch it or not.

At times raging with a Jane's Addiction ferocity like the beginning section of, "Blunted Aztec" before dropping into a badass Busta Ryhmes timing rap section and a few more snappy transitions driving home the, at times confusingly random MJF delivery (especially when the disco vibe takes over towards the end). And the punk rants (mixed with slight ska doses) of, "Perra Ronosa" show off the edgier range.

Oh yeah, did I mention (or did you fail to gather from the band name) MJF hail from Tijuana and mostly show their Latino connections in the lyrics coming both in flows of English and Spanish. Largely ignoring the cultural sounds of their environment and focusing more on stylizing on the funked out -- punked out -- rocked out -- ska'd out grab bag type delivery. A few tunes slip by unnoticed, but the ones that stick do so memorably. Drop something and ride the trip accordingly and it'll all be a blur in the morning.
