Japanese ska/punk band "Kemuri's" latest release may be a bit hard to track down, unless you buy imports. This particular album is not being released in the United States, although it's a shame it isn't. "Kemuri's" brand of happy, speed ska/punk is a great spirit lifter.

Among the more notable songs on the album is "Birthday," a happy ska song with lots of horns. "Nite Drive" goes reggae (and instrumental) with that nice slow kind of reggae beat to back sax solos. "Heart Beat," "PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)," "Tiny Square Room," "Kanasimiyo" (this one's in Japanese), "Father's Mountain" (more reggae than ska, but great use of horns) and "Along The Way" (ska/rock this time) are all songs that just add to the "happy" feel of the CD.

If you're into the ska/punk or ska/reggae type of music, this album is even worth buying as an import if you live in the U.S. Internationally, it should be available at your local record store. Either way, it's a fun investment.
