"Hu Manbe In G" is the much anticipated CD from Grammy-winning vocalist/songwriter "Seal." Some will consider this latest release aggrandized proof of his incredible talent, while others may wonder what is the big deal. "Seal" delivers his albums with the slow, designed movements of a consummate artist.

The CD is "Seal’s" melodic, musical picture of our humanness, painted with 12 original songs and colored by his emotive raspy vocals. The title track, "Human Being," speaks indirectly of the violent deaths of rapper’s Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. With no liner notes, one is prodded into thinking, rather than just listening, which is his intention.

"State Of Grace," with its hypnotic down-tempo sound, requires repeated listening. The CD’s choice track, "Latest Craze," gives a glimpse of "Seal’s" dance music roots - albeit at a much slower pace. The CD avoids the trappings of current music trends and conveys "Seal’s" message of love. A worthy effort, even if it's not a complete masterpiece.
